The first thing I do when I start researching our vacation spots is look for the best gelato/ice cream shops. My husband is obsessed with gelato so I like to find the best spots for him to test out. We ate a lot of delicious gelato when we were in Florence and have been to plenty of outstanding shops all over the world. My husband said this was hands down the best gelato he has ever had. His go to flavors are hazelnut and pistachio and they were both incredibly creamy with a depth of flavor that was truly remarkable. The chocolate cherry gelato was also a personal favorite. Cannot recommend this spot enough!

The best ice cream I had in Italy! All the flavours were very strong but delicate, natural, and not to sweet. The ice cream was super smooth and took more time to melt than an average ice cream.

This was our favorite gelato stop in all of Florence! The staff is super friendly and allowed us to sample one flavor per person as we were making our decisions. We loved how the flavors change on the daily and they incorporate local seasonal ingredients to create the best gelato. Some of our favorite flavors were pumpkin, pear, pistachio, and banana with orange and nutmeg. The texture of the gelato is just right as it is so creamy but doesn’t melt all over your hand right away. When visiting this place, you can expect to wait in line. We went twice and one time we waited 20+ minutes and the other time was only about 5 minutes. The wait will be totally worth your time, as the gelato is delicious!

Excellence! Best gelato we’ve had in Italy! Strong natural flavors, complexity and umami. Came back again, will come back tomorrow one more time.

Gelato as it’s meant to be. Go down the road to no. 24 and see where they make it - simply artisanal gelato at its finest. Nicoletta was the most awesome host - super friendly - nice - and gave us a breakdown of the gelato scene in Firenze. €12 for 3 of us to have 2 scoops - get the pistachio & nocciola - prego.

This place is tucked away in a slightly less touristy part of Florence, but still not too far from the action. We had some time while walking from the Uffizi corridor over to the Accademia, so I surprised my wife with this little place. It didn’t disappoint. There is a tiny Piazza adjacent where we found a bench to sit and enjoy some delicious gelato. There are other places to eat right there as well. It was a nice pleasant hour well spent.

⭐ 3-2-1 Review 3 Things I Liked: *Ice cream was incredible and clearly very popular *Line moved quickly despite the crowd *Helpful local recommendations on which flavors to try 2 Observations: *Small seating area nearby, so you might need to stand *Some people smoking in the area can be unpleasant 1 Thing to Know: *Be ready to decide quickly—it's busy and popular among students and locals Personal Experience: Best ice cream experience I’ve had! The flavors were fantastic and the popularity didn’t slow things down thanks to efficient service. While the seating is limited and a few people were smoking nearby, it didn’t take away from enjoying the ice cream. Long line but worth the try. The flavors were special and unfortunately the ones I wanted were all gone, but still a good one. Enjoyed it. They only took cash at that time.
